Unreal Tournament mechanical room

We use the engine behind the Unreal Tournament series to create maps and see how levels are built. So this is a mechanical room I built by using the assets in the game.

Monster Poly

First organic creation, and again with a few more tools.

House from a source image

Take a house and build it using simple shapes. We were given a few more tools to work this one out to make interesting shapes and such. These first few creations look pretty lame because we are just choosing a colour for an object when we create it, when we start unwrapping models and adding textures everything will look purrdy.

Dream deck...ish

I left the UI in just so you can get confused and wonder how any of this crap works.

Mostly this was just to get used to using the shapes and working in 3D, I already feel like I could rip a new one out in half the time and it would be 10 times better.

Ya that's a telescope...

Welcome back....me

So I've just started my 3rd year at Seneca. Seeing as I'm now in the Gaming stream of the program, my work is about to take a technological leap forward. Instead of hand drawn art most of my assignments are in the program called 3DS Max. This allows me to build in 3D and also animate with cool camera angles and such! So without further a due here are some of the first models I've made.

My paint of my locke layout, I'm not as happy with this paint as my space one but despite sickness it had to get done for class. I might take another whack at it during the summer.

Gaming Portfolio

Its seems I've found out that I'm accepted into the gaming program even before I managed to get my portfolio up on the blog.

So, here is my Accepted portfolio:

This is also for my final project in layout for this year, I'm fixing the left "wing" on the closest ship and tweaking some of the contrast issues but other wise this is done.

This used to be my "Halo" ship because it was based off the green and gold helmet but I wanted to go in a different direction for the portfolio.

This is my second layout for the final project that still needs to be painted, it is a view from the top of a water fall with an extremely implausible locke system down the side of it.

This is my much better attempt to paint my line work fish. The concept is a little cliche but I enjoyed painting it.

And here are the multiple views of my maquette:

Model sheet for said maquette

And Finally some life drawings:

I believe this was pretty much the order of the pages in the envelope...
